Mr. Venkatesh Bhat  r/o  Near Mahalaxmi temple, Panaji complaint  to the effect that in the year  2012 on several  occasion  at TNK  when  he  along with  his wife  Mrs.  Violet  Lobo  visited  his house  at  H.No.126, Redkar  House,  Near Mahalaxmi temple, Panaji accused 1)  Miss  Sudha  Bhat, 2) Smt. On 11.01.13, one Remisha fernandes, age 23 yrs.  r/o  shiroda  expired  while undergoing treatment at Appolo hospital Margao as a case of Rattol Poisoning at her  Residence. Death of deceased in within seven years of her marriage. U.D.NO.7/13 u/s 176 Cr. P. C. stand sregistered.

MAPUSA PS: Mr. John Fernandes r/o Karaswada, Mapusa complained that on 11.01.13 at 02.00 hrs.  at Bastora,  accused  persons  1)  Santappan  Targal, age 35 yrs.  r/o Karnataka, 2)  Mohan  Karwar, age 25 yrs.  r/o Gokak, 3)  Prakash  Dubhale, age 27 yrs.  r/o Karnataka  all occupants of Mahindra and Mahindra Goods carrier pick up  were caught  while  committing  mischief  by   pigs  with their  common  intention  by transporting  them  by  above vehicle  in a  manner subjecting them to unnecessary pain and  slaughtering. 2) Shri Subhash Sonu Kalangutkar r/o Police Qtrs.  Porvorim complained that on 10.01.13 at 10.30 hrs.  at Police qtrs. Porvorim, accused Ashish  Shirodkar, age 41 yrs. r/o Police  Qtrs. Porvorim trespassed into his  house  and  assaulted  him  with fist blows  and left  eye and helmet on hand  and further accused  hit the  complainant  with  wooden danda  and  abdomen, thereby causing grievous injury. CALANGUTE PS: Victim lady complained that on 11.01.12 at about 14.00 hrs.  at Calangute Beach, two Indian tourist with their  common intention caught hold  her Stomach, thigh and  legs  and her friend   thereby  outraged the modesty  while  swimming in the  sea water. Santalina  d/o Manuel   Mascarehnas, age 52 yrs.  r/o  Sirvol  Quepem,  thereby  caused  grievous  injuries  to her  leg and  other parts  of the body  and while  under  treatment at  Hospicio  Hospital  Margao, the  injured  lady  expired. Pollution notices to 16 industries in Goa

Sixteen companies in the state were today issued show cause notice by Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) for failing to install pollution monitoring equipment despite several warnings.

GSPCB member secretary Lavinsons Martin has issued showcause notices to all the 16 companies, asking them to reply within 15 days.

The companies that were issued notices include state’s only power generating plant, M/s Reliance Infrastructure Limited, tyre manufacturing company – MRF, steel manufacturing units — Goa Sponge and Power Limited, Shrithik Ispat, Sesa Goa Limited’s Pig Iron Plant, United Spirits Limited,  Ingrown Hair Scars Removal United Breweries Limited, Shraddha Ispat Private Limited, Nicomet Industries Limited, Ambey Metallic Limited and Aparant Iron and Steel Private Limited, fertilizer manufacturing industry – Zuari Industries Limited (ZIL) and pharma companies – Syngenta India Limited and Merck (India) limited, and liquor firm – John Distilleries and a state government run Sanjivani Sahakari Sakkar Karkhana Limited, a sugar factory.

CALANGUTE POLICE BUSTED SEX RACKET. ARRESTED THREE ACCUSED PERSON, THREE VICTIM GIRLS RESCUED FOR INVOLVING IN PROSTITUTION

Brief facts:

On reliable information, Calangute Police conducted raid at Sinquerim, wherein a white colour Santro car bearing No. GA-03-K-3941 was intercepted along with accused (1) Surendra Mandrekar s/o Sharad, r/o H.No. 332, Ashve Vaddo, Mandrem, Pernem-Goa, (2) Nagesh Srinivas @ Michael, and during the raid, a victim girl was procured by accused (1) Surendra Mandrekar s (2) Nagesh Srinivas @ Michael, Shikre, (3) Jeetu, Full name not known and (4) Richard, Full name not known and accused No.1. (1) Surendra Mandrekar s/o Sharad, r/o H.No. 332, Ashve Vaddo, Mandrem, Pernem-Goa, (2) Nagesh Srinivsd @ Michael, r/o H.No. 20, HIGB/9, Shikre, KS Town, Bangalore  brought the victim girl at Sinquerim for supplying her to the prospective customer for the purpose of prostitution, and accused persons were found living on the earning of prostitution in the vicinity of public place. The accused person No.2 published information on internet which is obscene in electronic form.

In this connection, an offence vides Cr.No.298/12 u/s 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Accused No. 1 and 2 arrested.

SECOND RAID

Brief facts:

On reliable information a ash color Hyundai i 10 car bearing No. GA-03-P-1702 was intercepted along with accused No.1 Sanjeev Shah, at Sinquerim, and during the raid, two victim girls were procured by accused No.1 Sanjiv Shah r/o Flat No. 704, Vaishali Building, Malad, Mumbai and accused No. 2. Sagar Patel r/o Mumbai and accused No.1 Sanjiv Shah brought the victim girls at sinquerim junction for supplying them to the prospective customers for the purpose of prostitution and accused person were found living on the earning of prostitution in the vicinity of public place. The accused person No. 2 published information on internet which is obscene in electronic form.

In this connection, an offence vides Cr.No.299/12 u/s 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act1956 and section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Accused No. 1 Sanjiv Shah has been arrested.

Modus operandi:

Supplying female to the customer for the purpose of prostitution & living on the earnings of prostitution.

IFFI to pay homage to Yash Chopra

The forthcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa will pay homage to legendary Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra, who passed away in Mumbai on Sunday.

Organisers of the festival said that they are preparing a special section to showcase Chopra’s work, who is known for his landmark films such as ‘Deewar’, ‘Trishul’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Chandni’ and ‘Dil to Pagal Hai’ during his career that spanned over five decades.

Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Society of Goa, Manoj Srivastava, said they would pay cinematic tribute to the departed soul during the ten-day-long festival that would commence from November 20. Pimples on Scalp Causes Hair Loss

AGACAIM PS: Dr. Sunanda Amonkar of GMC Bambolim complained that on 25.11.12 at TNK in ward No.131 GMC Bambolim, accused person namely Sneha Fernandes r/o Rivona, Sanguem being the mother of child, a newly born baby girl of 11 days knowingly abandoned the child in ward No. 131 GMC Bambolim. CANACONA PS: Miss Rekilda Fernandes r/o Ordofondwada, Bhatpal, Canacona complained that on 05.12.12 prior to 11.15 hrs. in the rented room of  her house H.No.15,  Ordofondwda, Bhatpal, Canacona,  accused person namely  Vinod Soren n/o  Jharkand over  personal  enmity  murdered his  paramour namely Mrs.  Nirmala Gauda aged 42 yrs,  n/o Karnataka and absconded. SUPDT. OF POLICE SHRI GAWAS APPOINTED TO INDIAN POLICE SERVICE

He was posted as In-charge of Police Stations at Colva, Cuncolim and Old Goa. He was thereafter selected as direct DYSP in the year 1998, through GPSC. After going through 01 year Basic Training at Maharashtra Police Academy, Nasik, he underwent Probation Training at Commissionerate of Police, Nagpur. On returning to Goa,

he was posted as SDPO Mapusa and later DYSP Traffic (North). In 2003 he was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police. He has worked as Addl. SP (North District), SP (Headquarters), SP (North District), SP (South District) and he is presently posted as SP (Traffic). He is a recipient of Chief Minister’s Police Medal in the year 2006 and President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2013.

PANAJI PS: On 24.07.2014,one person namely Sunil s/o Pandurang Narvekar, age 36 yrs., r/o Oitem-Taleigao was brought dead at GMC Bambolim as a case of hanging at his residence. U.D.No.53/14 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. is registered. PSI S. Narvekar is I. O.

AGACAIM PS: Fr. Albano Fernandes r/o Bambolim Ilhas-Goa complained that in intervening night of 23.07.2014 from 21.00 hrs. to 24.07.2014 at 06.00 hrs.  unknown accused persons entered the Holy Cross shrine-Bambolim by parting the main side door from the bottom and decamped with cash at around Rs.60,000/- from the donation boxes and 12 gold chains, three  gold crosses and two gold  rings from the statue of our  lady Fatima W/Rs.8 lakhs approx. total W/rs.8,60,000/- approx. Cr.No.71/14 u/s 457, 380 IPC is registered.

OLD GOA PS: Shri Shahid Kamruddin Kureshi r/o St. Cruz complained that on 20.07.14 at about 00.20 hrs. near Hera Bar-Rego Bagh-St.Cruz, unknown driver of unknown vehicle  drove his vehicle  in a rash and  negligent manner  without proper care and caution while proceeding from St. Cruz to Bambolim and when reached near Hera Bar- Rego Bagh, dashed against male pedestrian Mr. Amit @ Amar Mishra, age 24 yrs., r/o St. Cruz causing body injuries. The accused rider/driver fled away from the spot with his vehicle without giving medical attention to injured or without informing police. Cr.No.138/14 u/s 279,338 IPC & Sec-134(a) (b) of M.V. Act is registered. HC-Ashok Parab is I.O.

PONDA PS: Shri Hitendra G. Shinkre r/o Ponda-Goa complained that on 02.06.2014 (TNK)  at Panditwada-Ponda, accused Javed Kazi r/o  Curti- Ponda  under the pretext of selling his Hundai car  No.GA-05-D-0586 for an amount of Rs.14,00,000/- and  disappeared thereby misappropriated the  amount. Accused arrested and kept in PS Lock Up. Cr.No.290/14 u/s 406 IPC is registered. HC- Bhomkar is I. O.

BICHOLIM PS: Shri Paresh Prakash Naik r/o Dongri-Mandoor complained that on 23.07.2014 at about 17.15 hrs. at Vadahawada-Shirgao, accused Ravi Peru Ghadi r/o Assonora riding M/Cycle no. GA-04-J-1374 rode his M/Cycle in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Assonora to Shirgao and when reached at Vadahawada-Shirgao, dashed M/Cycle no. GA-07-D-3478 which was coming in an opposite direction thereby causing injuries to rider (himself) & pillion rider Varsha Paresh Naik. Cr.No.171/14 u/s 279, 337, 338 IPC is registered. HC-D.V. SOUTH GOA DISTRICT

QUEPEM PS: Shri Vithal Gaonkar-Sub Divisional Engineer BSNL Office -Quepem complained that prior to 23.07.2014 TNK at Katta Amona, some  unknown  accused person committed theft of copper cable W/rs.30,000/- approx which was drawn in pipe in an open place Cr.No.50/14 u/s 379 IPC is registered. MAINA CURTORIM P.S.: On 24.07.2014, dead body of one unknown male person age about 28-32 yrs was found lying dead at Satimol Talconda-Raia. Dead body shifted to I.D. Hospital-Ponda for PME. U.D.No.52/14 u/s 174 Cr. P. C. is registered. PSI- Deu Mangaonkar is I. O.

PERMISSION MANDATORY FOR IMPARTING PARAGLIDING TRAINING

Panaji: September, 2015 …. In view of prevailing situation in the country and intelligence inputs on terror threats to India the District Magistrate North Goa has passed an order for obtaining permission for carrying out Paragliding training is mandatory to those persons parting training on bases of Paragliding and intermediate Level in various parts of North Goa District without obtaining any permission from the concerned Authorities and without intimating the Law Enforcement Agencies as a result of which such training could even be linked with terrorist outfits and other anti social elements.

In view of above fact the District Magistrate has passed an order and instructed the following direction to all the Paragliding trainers in entire North Goa District.

Necessary permission for carrying out Paragliding training should be taken from the following authorities: the local body concerned, the Director of Tourism, Panaji, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the area, the Director General of Civil Aviation, the Traffic Air Controller, Dabolim.

Superintendent of Police, North Goa and the Police Inspector  of local Police Station should be given a complete schedule of the training (month wise)well in advance with complete name and address of the Trainer .

A register should be maintained at the training site with the following details: full name of the trainee, full address of the trainee, copy of Identity proof that is either a Voter card or Driving license or Smart card or Passport or Government ID card only and signature or left hand thumb impression of the trainee.

This order shall come into force with effect from September 25, 2015 and shall be effective for a period of 60 days i.e. upto November 23, 2015 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier.

1) Old Goa P..S Cr.No. 218/2014 u/s 325, 504 IPC

          Shri Tasleem Arif Shaikh, r/o St. Cruz, Old Goa complained that on 05.12.2014 at 22.00 hrs to 23.00 hrs at St. Cruz, accused person Sayyad Shabuddin r/o Betim assaulted him  with waist leather belt buckle on his left eye with waist belt on his back and left forearm and also bite on his left ear, thereby causing him serious injuries.

                                         SOUTH GOA DISTRICT

A.    CASES UNDER IPC.

 

1.      Margao Town Cr. No. 542/14 U/s 279,338 IPC and 134(a), (b) of M. V. Act.

       That on 07.12.2014 at 19.00 hrs, H.C- 3145, Shri. Ganapti S. Naik of Margao Town PS lodged his complaint on behalf of State that on 06/12/2014 at 19.50 hrs. Opp. Kalika wine shop, near Arlem Junction, Margao, Goa, accused namely Janardhan s/o Bala Naik, age 40 yrs., r/o Amthana, Bicholim, drove his Kadamba bus bearing no. GA-03-X-0258 in a rash & negligence manner endangering human life while proceeding from KTC bus stand Margao to Mudediha, Bijapur and on reaching at opposite Kalika wine Shop near Arlem Junction, gave dash to a pedestrian lady namely Santana Vaz, age 52 yrs., r/o Arlem, Margao, due to which said lady sustained injuries to her both legs, who is presently undergoing medical treatment at GMC, Bambolim and further fled away from the spot without giving her medical treatment and information to police. Further investigation is in progress.   

B.     Un-Natural Death Cases.

1.      Vasco P.S. U.D. No. 63/14 U/s 174 Cr.P.C.

      That on 07.12.14 at 15.35 hrs, Vasco PS received wireless message from Casualty Police, GMC Bambolim, informing that Patient namely Kajal Poddar, age 42 yrs., r/o Dabolim, Vasco, admitted under MLC No. 14/1674 in ward no. 109 expired as a case of burn at her residence. Dead body is preserved in GMC Morgue. Inquest and P.M. examination is being held. Further investigation is in progress.\

2.   Colva P.S. U.D. No. 41/14 U/s 174 Cr.P.C.

        That on 07/12/2014 at 23.00 hrs. Colva PS received phone call from Casualty Police, Hospicio Hospital Margao, informing that one Mr. Deepak Katri, age 50 yrs., r/o, c/o Colva Residency, Colva, Salcete, N/o Nagaland, is brought dead at Casualty in Hospicio Hospital Margao. Dead body preserved at Hospicio Hospital Morgue for further formalities. Further investigation is in progress.
